I would like to seek some recommendations on the best TI components to use in my power supply design with a customer.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5176, LM5122

Hi,

I would like to seek some recommendations on the best TI components to use in my power supply design with a customer.

Design 1:
Input Requirements: 18-36V
Output Requirements: 27V 7.4A and above (200W)
Isolation Requirements: Best scenario is that the Input and Output are isolated, but if not, nonisolated is ok.

Design 2:
Input Requirements: 18-24V
Output Requirements: 27V 11A and above (300W)
Isolation Requirements: Best scenario is that the Input and Output are isolated, but if not, nonisolated is ok.

Thanks,
Shuanglin

  • Hi Shuanglin,

Thanks for reaching out and asking your question. If you are looking for an isolated design please post to the isolated power forum. A good place to look for designs is the TI Reference design website. The application parameters can be used to filter through designs.

    Design 1:
For a non-isolated solution the LM5176 is going to be the best option.

    Design 2:
Look at the LM5122. These requirements should be achieve able with at 2 phase design. This is a non-isolated design.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Garrett
