TLV62085: Light loading mode

Part Number: TLV62085
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62097, TLV62568A, TLV62569A

Please help to confirm when TLV62085 get into light loading mode it won't get into ECO-mode? Right?

  • Hi,

TLV62085 gets automatically into power save mode for light loads as explained in section 7.3.1 of datasheet.
The TPS62097 for example has a mode pin which can operate the device in forced PWM mode.

What are the application spec ? I can help you choose the IC
  • HI,
Our power rail requirement control power ripple less then 10mv. So when PWM get into light loads mode the ripple may large then 10mv. if we want to keep the pwm switch frequency. is it possible?
  • You could eventually keep the device in forced PWM mode by adding a dummy load to ensure the load is always in the high range.
Otherwise you need to choose another converter

Depending on the load requirements of you application, TLV62568A (max 1A)or TLV62569A (max 2A) can be used , they are always in PWM mode.
What is your end application? what are the load requirements and voltage spec?
  • HI,
Thanks your reply. I got the answer now.
