LM73606-Q1: can BIAS pin source from external power before VIN rising?

Hi Team,

LM73606-Q1 has a BIAS pin which can connect to an external power rail for power saving. May i have your help to know can we set external power rail for BIAS pin ready before VIN rising? is there sequence restriction for the BIAS and VIN pin?

    Henry,

    We do not recommend applying an external voltage to bias when there is no voltage on VIN or VOUT. However I don't see an issue if EN is tied low in this condition. The issue would be if the IC turned on without a voltage on VIN. It may try to switch which could cause undesired behavior. But the IC should not switch as long as EN is low.
