LM5026: is slope compensation necessary for all current mode controller power supply?

Part Number: LM5026

Dear friends,

I have a doubt regarding slope compensation. is slope compensation necessary for all current mode controller power supply which is operating more than 0.5 Duty cycle?.

I have found NCP1200 current mode PWM controller. I could not find any slope compensation block inside NCP1200. Is it really having slope compensation?.

What will happen if i use this current mode PWM controller with more than 0.5 Duty cycle.

Regards

Aneesh

  • Hi Aneesh,

We can only support questions based on TI part numbers and cannot comment on the NCP1200.

TI has a range of technical articles covering control theory and slope compensation at

I suggest you contact OnSemi for more information on the NCP1200 device.

    Regards
