May I know how soon we can get low signal from SMBA pin if the triggered the "MFR_IIN_OC_WARN_LIMIT"?

Right now, I do not have data for this parameter. I can check on EVM and provide you but again it is a single data point. Can you help me understand the reason for this request.

Hi Rakesh,

In normal design, they don’t want the system hit Over Current Protect then shutdown directly, they need the system to be triggered fast processor hot to throttle the power before OCP.

Hi Teresa,

The controller will assert SMBA after expiry of the fault timeout period. It does not alert as soon as the load current reaches current limit threshold.

Using the OC WARN Limit, the SMBA will be triggered in about a milliSecond because the WARN limits are sensed based on the telemetry value rather than the OC Fault shutdown delay.
