Manufacturing Tool will not include any future updates for support of the UCD3138X family, UCD3020, and UCD3028.
If any bugs or issues for support of the UCD3138X family, UCD3020, and UCD3028 after 2017, they will be fixed only in Production tool.

  • HI ALL,

  • Production tool departed from Manufacturing tool long time ago.

    Build 1.2.130 - Build 1.2.131 [April 27,2016]
    Build 1.2.32 [May 4, 2016]

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Here are some examples:

    Build 1.2.126 [December 16, 2015]

    Bug Fixes

    * When clicking export of script – exception dialog would appear about NI assembly references.

    Build 1.2.127 [January 4, 2016]

    Updates

I’ve added support for reading a serial number consisting of letters and numbers.

There is also support for downloading to two devices on different SAA adapters with one of the them having the control pin 5 pulled low.

    Build 1.2.129 [April 25, 2016]

    Updates:

    * Remove need for implementing commands 0xE4 and 0xE5 (cmds_dcdc_paged and cmds_dcdc_nonpaged). Useful for firmware not implementing pmbus commands

. If they do not have E4/E5 it will not complain and if they do it will work. I will also be making a fusion studio gui that will have device GUI respond the same way as you had mentioned before as they didn’t like when the error shows up during the scan and we recommended setting the bitmask to zero. Now if they don’t have the bitmask for the device GUI it will not show an error however if they use the online gui they will not see many configuration commands as that is based on the bitmask.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

If you have used the Manufacturing tool and it works for you. Stay with that one.
If you have anew use case, start with Production tool.

The expert with these tools will be back after Labor day and will help you with specific requests that you might have.

  • I'M INTERESTING IN THIS SENTENCE"There is also support for downloading to two devices on different SAA adapters with one of the them having the control pin 5 pulled low. ",IT MEANS CAN I USE PRODUCTION TOOL DOWNLOAD FIRMWARE TO 2 DEVICES WITH 2 USB-TO-GPIO AT SAME TIME?
COULD YOU GIVE US SUGGESTIONS & DOCUMENT FOR THIS ?THANKS.

  • DOES ANYBODY KNOWS?THANKS.
  • Yes, that is exactly what this means.

This feature exists only in Production tool and is supported in Build 1.1.127 from January 2016 and up.

The operation is quite easy, pin #5 which is the control pin on on one of the interfaces needs to be pilled low (Zero logic).

This way the software can distinguish between the two interfaces. Please give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.

  • You can have multiple SAA adapters based on different configurations of high and low settings of the control pins. This allows you to set up different flows where you specify which SAA adapter to use.
