In the data sheet of TPS 40210, over current duty cycle = max 2% is stipulated.
What does this duty cycle mean?

    Hi Kishi,

    The duty cycle is not the duty cycle of the switch. It is the duty cycle of operation when the device starts up into a short or over current condition. This means that the device will only switch only 2%. The actual time is will be dependent on the SS capacitor value.
