BQ76PL536: Compatibility BQ76PL536 - BQ76PL536A

Part Number: BQ76PL536

My customer has made design using the Industrial A-Version. One option to fix a delivery issue could be the usage of the old version "none-A". Which differences need to be checked to use BQ76PL536PAP in a BQ76PL536APAP socket. Thanks!

  • You right. The industrial released version is -bq76PL536A. Hence follow the SLUSAD3C d/s specifications and functionality.
In the support document, although only the bq76PL536 may be referred in these documents, all information herein applies equally to the
bq76PL536A( industrial) and the bq76PL536AQ1(automotive) . hope this helps out.
  • Hi Vish, to be honest your feedback is not solving my need.
Do we have a delta D/S showing the difference of A-Version vs the old Version.
Or something like a migration guide that explained the changes when we NRND the old Version and proposed the A-Version.
My customer did the design based on the A-Version.
If he has to put an old version device into the socket that was designed for A-Version - where are the criticals differences that could lead into problem?
    Thanks!
  • Hi Harry,

As Vish mentioned, there are no critical differences between the A-Version and non-A-Version. So you can put the non-A-Version IC in the A-Version socket without any issues, and vice-versa.

    Thanks,
    Vince
