DCDC stepup from 12V to 24V with max 8A output

Need to find a Component at lowest possible cost that can drive external MOSFETs so that the

stepup can deliver 24V 8A. This will not be done on a continous basis but now and then. The 12V will

be on all the time and the 24V must be there, but the full 8A output will only be drawn during a couple of seconds and then it will rest for at

a minute or two Before next high current output is needed.

Any suggestion? TPS43060?

Either the TPS43060 or the LM25122. Either of these devices will work well since they are synchronous converters. Since the power is pretty high a multi-phase design is a good solution.

Please also take a look at the TI design website. There might already be a design that works for this application.
