BQ40Z60: update status not changing from 0x04

Using slua777.pdf as a guideline I have performed 5 full learning cycles and have not got the Update Status register to change from 0x04.

I am using 4 samsung 30q cells in series; the gauge is programmed with CHEM_ID 0x2085.

I have never gotten it to change but cycle count has gone to 3.

That means you aren't charge terminating correctly. Without a proper charge termination you will not have a correct DOD Update or a Qmax. Therefore following that you will have no resistance update.

Follow this procedure completely.

1. Program the chem ID, set all gauge parameters correctly
2. Dsg the cell completely
3. Wait until REST flag is set or VOK is cleared
4. Start charging, VOK will set, and charge until charge termination happens
5. Relax for 2 hours
6. Check if VOK clears, then your Qmax will be updated
7. Now start dsg, VOK will set again, dsg until terminate voltage
8. Rest for 5 hours
9. VOK will clear and Ra tables will be updated
10. Repeat process again to optimize the learned values

This will help you get a correct learning cycle.

All bqstudio dataRAM registers at 1s rate and all df logged every 60s.

If I select all registers I get and error popup that says "Max no of parameters that can be logged is limited to 200. Please try reselecting..."

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but there's only about a 160 registers in the bq40z60 dataRAM.

I am referring to the error that I get when trying to log more that 100 registers. Like I said.

There's a bqstudiotest version there. Please uninstall the production version/delete the folder and reinstall it or the test version to be able to log everything.
