Dual output DC-Dc Converters and its power ORing

Hello,

I want some DC-DC converters which as both positive and negative output. (15V & 7.5V). please suggest some part numbers. I have main and redundant power supplies so how to OR the negative power?

Thanks and Regards

Vishal Kakade

  • Hi Vishal,

What's the input voltage? How much loading do you have?
Do you mean your power supply will be 15V "OR" -7.5V?
Please provide more detail requirement so we can see which solution will suit your application. Thanks!

  • Hello Sam,

I have a 24V supply in my design.

    I have 8 Op-Amps which require (+15V, -15V), and the other 8 need (+7.5V and -7.5V).

I want to derive 15V from the 24V input and 7.5V from 12V.

I want a regulator which can have a dual output(+15 & -15) and the other (7.5V & -7.5V). Consider 1A max current at every voltage rail.

  • Hi Vishal,

I didn't see any dual output DC-DC converters can output positive and negative Vout.

For 24V to +-15V, you may need two buck converters. One is configured as buck circuit to output 15V, and another is configured as buck/boost to output -15V.

For +-7.5V output, you may follow the way used for +-15V.

Another approach is fly-buck, which use a transformer to output positive and negative with a single buck controller at the same time. For the detail, please go to
