LP5907: LP5907 Recommended Temp

Hi Sir,

We are see the LP5907 datasheet page 5 is show the Recommended Operating Conditions Ambient temperature -40 to 85C.

But the Page 23 OP temp is -40 to 125C, which one is for RD Design Ambient temperature?

    Hi Hugo,

    Linear regulators are power dissipative products.  As such it is important to know not only your application ambient temperature, but also the junction temperature of the LP5907.  The Operating Temperature range stated in the Product Option Addendum is the operating junction temperature range of -40 to 125 C.  

    Please note that our Electrical Characteristics table specifications are valid over the junction temperature conditions stated.

    The relationship between the junction and ambient temperature can be estimated using the information from the Thermal Information table.
