BQ25895M: How to figure out if the charger and battery are plugged in?

Hi,

Is there any registers that I can read to figure out if

1. only the battery is connected

2. only the power in is connected

3. both the power in and battery is connected.

This is the document that I'm using www.ti.com/.../bq25895m.pdf.

While reading the document, I notice that if REGN LDO is enabled then the power in is connected, else only the battery is connected. However, I don't see how I can read the status of REGN LDO and how I know if both are connected at the same time.

There is no register bit to indicate 1 or 3 directly. If the device is charging, 3 should be true.
For 2, REG11[7] (VBUS_GOOD) and REG0B[7:5] (VBUS_STAT) can be used.
There is also no register bit to indicate REGN LDO status.

Just to confirm, according to your answer, there is no way to know if the battery is attached during charging mode.
