Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS53681
Hi,
My customer is using TPS53667+CSD95480. How the GUI get the input current Iin(Read_IIN)value?
Thanks

Hi Jerry,
Please check TPS53667 datasheet page 72. Read Iin is in register 89h. You can go to GUI monitor page and check Iin check box on the left, then you will see the Iin reading on the screen. You can email me if you have further question. nancy_zhang@ti.com
Thanks,

Hi Jerry,
The TPS53667 uses an estimated IIN rather than directly measuring the current like in newer parts such as the TPS53681. Output power is known since VOUT and IOUT are measured. VIN is directly measured as well through pin 16.
The controller assumes a constant 90% efficiency so dividing POUT the efficiency gives PIN. Further dividing by VIN will then give the calculated IIN value.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Carmen
