BTW, could you advise why you need so high resistance?

I don't know the detail reason why customer selected high resistance.
They must have selected a high resistance to reduce the power consumption of the system even a little.
Please confirm the designer about the limitation.

Tamio,

The limitation is the +/- 1uA leakage current into the CMPIN and CMPOUT pins. Higher resistors cause higher voltage offsets due to these leakage currents.
