UCD9090A: UCD9090A Multi event rail sequencine

Part Number: UCD9090A

Hello,

We are considering using the UCD9090A to sequence 10 power rails. these rails will need to be sequentially enabled once the previous one has reached the correct voltage. I can see from the datasheet that it should be possible to do this as each rail is sequenced on once the parent rail achieves regulation. I wish to confirm the following:

1) Assumed I can set any voltage for UVLO and OVLO in steps as defined by Table 3. Voltage range and Resolution

2) Assumed that the watchdog can be triggered by a ULVO or OVLO

3) Assumed the watchdog can be sequenced on after all other rails (so the time period will not begin until the power sequence finishes - is it possible to program a longer time for this initial pulse?)

4) Assumed that all GPIO will be high impedance when the device is powered for the first time with no program.

I expect that all the above is true, I just want to verify before including this in a design.

Kind regards,

Ben Strawbridge

  • Hi Ben

Other than data sheet, please review the useful links under my signature or FAQ to get more details about the products.

#1. Yes, each rail has its own threshold for UV and OV fault.

#2. watchdog is not associated with UV/OV fault, it is to monitor a external input signal. We have another feature: system reset which is associated with fault

    #3. yes, you can set a start time(up to 1638s) .

    #4. Please refer section 3.3 http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slvub50a/slvub50a.pdf
