Hello,
We would like to calculate worstcase Junction Temperature of TPS1H100-Q1 during current limiting mode (10A Internal Current Limit).
As the duration of current limit mode (during inrush current phase) depends on the how big the external capacitive load is, we need Transient Thermal Impedance Curve of TPS1H100-Q1 for Pulse Time down to 100µs.
Application Parameters
Maximum Supply Voltage: 16V
Ambient Temperature: 85°C
Duration of 10A Current Limit (Measured value): 500µs
That means the TPS1H100-Q1 will be dissipating Approx. 16V * 10A = 160W Peak Power for 500µs
Please send us the Transient Thermal Impedance curve so that we can calculate if the Device can withstand this Power ?
