Hello,
I'm a HW engineer for a Belgium firm active in the automotive business.
A couple of years ago i used the TPS542951 for one of my designs to generate 3.3 and 5V.
In the meantime we sold a couple of hundred devices which uses my board.
About 1-2% of the devices return with a smoked TPS542951. And i mean smoked. (see image).
The circuit was based on the one from the datasheet and integrated into the rest of the design.
My question is if there are other simular cases known and what the counter measures could be.
