TLC6C5712-Q1: TLC6C5712-Q1: Can parallel outputs from multiple TLC6C5712 devices be used to achieve higher dot correction resolution?

Part Number: TLC6C5712-Q1

Hello,

We have an application where we would like to have a fine current control (<0.1mA step change) for the full range of 75mA.
Is it possible to parallel up CHx from device A with CHx from device B to achieve a coarse and fine current control of the same LED?

Device A would be set up to be 75mA full range, giving the coarse current setting. Device B would be set up to be 10mA full range, giving the fine current setting.

The idea would then be that the total current through the LED will be given by:

LED_Current = ( 75mA * (A/255) ) + ( 10mA * (B/255) )

Is there any reason that could lead to the devices conflicting?

Thanks for your time.

Best,

Hugo
