BQ24780SEVM-583: The Charge current value I set is 512ma but the current reading shows around 360ma

Hi I am setting the charge current to be 512 ma but when I measure the Value using  a Multimeter in series . The value is varied by 200-300 ma . Kindly let me know if I need to change any register commands or values . I completed the procedure mentioned in the manual and I see that the values I measure are inline with the values in manual . Later when I try to charge a battery I face this problem . Thanks.

    Naveesh,

    Can you try some evaluation step to investigate this problem?

    1. please use current probe or just measure SRP/SRN voltage different to double check the charging current.

    2. Can you program higher charging current, ex: 2A to check tolerance?

    3. What is your input voltage?

    4. did you do any hardware components changed?
