LM5576: Buck & Inverting buck calculate compensation is different ?

Part Number: LM5576

Hi all,

Q1: I want to know 42V to 30V  &  12V to -30V  compensation and inductance values  are different ? because  base on webench sim result are different.

Q2: If SD pin over 14V will  impact IC  normal operation ?

  • Hi,

Q1: Yes, the compensation is slightly different due to right hand plane zero introduced in inverting buck boost. The inductance is different because during the high side switch on time, the inductor voltage is VIN instead of VIN-VOUT as in regular buck

Q2: Yes, going above 14V on the SD pin is not recommended

    Thanks
