BQ24298: why V_SYS_MIN is lower than 3.5V

The problem about BQ24298

The default value of V_SYS_MIN is 3.5V


When I use the battery as the power source only.The level of battery  will always decrease,and the V_SYS_MIN will be less than 3.5V.Not staying 3.5V
I wonder why V_SYS_MIN is lower than 3.5V or I wonder how this function can be turned on

    Hello,

    The bq24298 is an NVDC power path device that has a built-in DC/DC buck converter. This converter is responsible for regulating the SYS voltage to MINSYS (when VBAT is less than MINSYS) when an input is applied. During battery only-mode, the SYS rail is connected directly to the battery through the low RDSon integrated BATFET, which means that system will be supported by the battery voltage and SYS voltage will be the VBAT- IR drop of the BATFET.
