LM5176: diodes in the reference circuit?

Part Number: LM5176

hi team,

why we need diodes in Vin and Boot1/ Boot 2?

www.ti.com/.../lm5176.pdf

  • Hello Bonnie,

The diode in VIN is to block the back flow current from VCC to VIN when VIN drops below VCC in a line transient.

The diodes at BOOT1/2 are boot strap circuit charging the boot capacitor when the switch node pulls to GND by LDRV1/2.

    Thanks,
    Youhao Xi
