LM3429-Q1: Does LM3429-Q1 have reference design can meet automotive Class-5 certification?

Part Number: LM3429-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3429, TPS92692

Dear Sir:

Our customer would like use LM3429-Q1 for head light application. Does TI have reference design of LM3429-Q1 can meet Class-5 certification? Or Does TI have layout suggest can meet that? Thanks.

Best Regard

Jason

  • Hi Jason,

We currently do not have reference design to meet the Class-5 certification for the LM3429. We have the TPS92692 which is our latest part that has spread spectrum modulation and would help in achieving lower input filters design for conducted EMI. There is a user guide in (www.ti.com/.../slvub29) for this part. It has layout information and some EMI testing for Class 3 that you can use as a guide. Class-5 certification is a system level design and the customer might need additional filtering or shielding to pass.
