TPS65217CEVM: Battery charge path test

Hi,

This is K Harshavardhan.

We are working on TPS65217CEVM. All the module testing is almost done.

We got a battery of 3.7V and 850mAh to check the charge path.

But the battery is not charging with AC 5V and CHG_EN is high.

Do we have any procedure for charging the battery?

Please let us know if the process we are following is wrong.

Hi K,

Do you have a push button installed for the PMIC, or is i2c access available?

K Harshavardhan,

You are testing on the EVM, so please make sure you have the jumpers installed correctly: JP6 and JP11 must be installed for battery charging to work properly.

JP6 makes sure BAT and BAT_SENSE are shorted. JP11 makes sure there is a valid 10kOhm pull-down resistor to mimic the NTC that is normally connected inside the battery pack.
