I need to implement a circuit with USB Vbus (5V from USB connector) and with the management of battery recharge.

I would like to use the bq25910, but I discovered that also the part bq25600 should be similar, with the battery temperature sensor management too.

Then there is the part bq25898, but this should be usefull with USB OTG bus.

My goal is to have a Li-Battery 1Cell with 2A (discharge current) and 1-2Ah.

I need to load this battery when the USB cable is connected.  In this case the current from USB will charge the battery and will supply the system.

When the USB cable will not be connected the battery will supply the system.

Can you help me to understand what is the best?  Looking at the bq25910 examples I see bq25910 as slave and bq25600 as master connected together.

I'm thinking that bq25600 alone could do what I need.

Can you confirm me?

    Hello Edoardo,

    Yes, the bq25910 is meant to function as a parallel slave charger in conjunction to a master charger and a host. The bq25910's job is to provide as much charge current as it can while leveraging it's very efficient three-level topology in high current applications.

    Another thing to note, is the bq25910 doesn't have an integrated BATFET; the assumption is that the battery will be tied to SYS via the master's BATFET.

    Having said that, based on your application description, you can achieve what you need using only a master charger, either the bq25600 or bq25898. If using an USB application, I recommend using the bq25601D since it provides D+/D- detection for input current limit setting in USB applications. When powered from USB, the 601D can support the SYS load while charging the battery, and in the absence of the input, the battery can discharge through the BATFET.
