Myself I am a hardware engineer making a IoT device which has a specifications as listed below :

1. Li-Po battery of 3000 mAh

2. Battery Charging current 3 A

3. Maximum current required for the system (Maximum current through SYS pin) 3.5 A

I had gone through the datasheet of BQ25601D but I saw the maximum output current (through SW pin) as 3.25 A and The graphs are showing the Isys is upto 4 A.

Will the BQ25601D support a maximum Output current of 3.5 A?

BQ25601D supports 3.25A current from SW. BQ25601 also builds in power path that allows battery to provide power to SYS. During transients, SYS current can be up to 6A. On the average, the SYS current should be less than 3A.
