TPS2410: MOSFET selection of the current limiting circuit

Hi Team,

In Figure 18 of the TPS2410 datahsheet, SST270 (P-ch. JFET) is used in the current limiting circuit.

As we learned from the market that main suppliers of the P-ch JFET are going to stop supplying this kind of device, what alternatives can we use in this circuit?

Hello Roy,

An alternative to Vishay's SST270 is OnSemi's MMBFJ175 and other alternatives are:

Does it have to be a P-ch JFET?

Yes, it has to be a P-ch JFET for the protection to work correctly.
