Hi Aladdin,

The dip you circled above is a function of the voltage reference on the secondary side turning ON and its associated softstart circuit. For 5V, this is typically okay for most applications.

However, you can try varying the softstart time through R18 and C26 to optimize a more desired output startup waveform. I recommend reducing the softstart time. The trade off is that you may see some overshoot if you go too low.

Hello Darwin,

We tried to fine tune R18 and C26 whatever increasing or decreasing, but we didn't see any improve on smooth waveform.

Do you have other ideas?

Hi Jason,

As discussed offline, you might be able play with the loop but it is not recommended as it will affect the transient response. It might be that a different PD controller with an adjustable softstart can be used.
