BQ77905: Is an arming plug or switch enough to disable a battery pack when it is not in use?

Part Number: BQ77905

Designing a Li Ion battery pack (18650, 4s-1p) and using the battery management chip BQ7790509PW.  The application is for a research experiment. I want the capability to completely disable the battery for long periods of time when the experiment is not running to reduce discharge.  I am thinking an arming plug or toggle switch in the ground leg would be a solution.  Is there anything else I need to consider?
