BQ24075T: In case of USB500 mode, should we set Ilim resistor?

Part Number: BQ24075T

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask BQ24075T?

<Question1>
If we select  USB500 mode, we recognize that it is not necessary to set ILIM resistor.
However, there is no ILIM resistor, it doesn't operate to charge.
So, does ILIM resistor require any case?

<Question2>
In relation to <Question1>, if we select  USB500 mode, current limit is 500mA fixing.
So, how much of the value does ILIM resistor require?
Should we use 3.2kohm?

<Question3>
And then, OCP is for charge operation, right?
In case of discharge, OCP doesn't operate, right?

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • Hello,
    Q1) Charging is disabled if ILIM is left unconnected so an ILIM setting above 500mA will be required if you want to use the USB500 setting,
    Q2) Any value between 1.07K and 3.2K should be fine
    Q3) If this refers to the ISET setting, yes that only applies to charging.
