Best fit PMIC or Multi output DCDC/LDO for Satixfy SX3000 chipset.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65023B, TPS65023-Q1

Hi All,

I am currently working on a design with a chipset from Satixfy -SX3000. I do not have proper power numbers yet from the manufacturer. Also I am trying to realize the design in a customized mPCIe form factor (3.7V@2.5A and 1.8V@1.5A - available from base board through mPCIe connector).

Anyone have any idea on which chipset from TI would be best fit for this requirement?

Thanks,

  • Hi Naveenkumar.R,

I don't think we have a specific design with this processor, and without current requirements it is hard to promote a specific solution, but I'd like to direct you towards our TPS65023B device as a starting point. I can see that there are several analog rails which can likely be powered from the LDOs and several digital rails which can be powered by the converters. Given that the VIN range is 3.7 V and total power output is expected to be around 5 W, this device has some potential. It can also be controlled with external components to set voltage and sequence. It may be possible to use two of them to cover all rails except the DDR termination, or some combination of PMIC + discretes may make sense.

There is also the TPS65023-Q1 if you are looking for an automotive grade version.

If you have feedback on what is good or bad about this part for your design, we may be able to direct you to a better fit.
