its a prototype for a new automotive device of a big German automotive supplier, the prototype production is not in the responsibility of the development department, so I have no insight in the ordering process. But I guess the part is O917A130TRGZRQ1.

The O917A130TRGZRQ1 is configured for I2C, not SPI. This is an OTP dependent setting. Thus, if you wanted to use SPI with this device, you would first need to use I2C to set the OTP register bit (I2C_SPI) to 1 to configure as SPI. Then, GPIO2 and GPIO4 could also be configured to SDA and SCL lines.

This would have to be done after every POR, since SPI is not the default for this part number.

I checked the part ID, I made a mistake, the part we're using is:

 (P)O917A11ETRGZRQ1

The TPS is configured:

In my test I am trying all values for Page (bit 2) and register address (bit 10) of the SDI. But for none address I see any response other than zero on SDO (as soon as CS == 1 the SDO line goes low).

SCK, SCE and SDI are correct (measured directly on the TPS)

I will try I2C. But one question about the SPI interface, in the TPS65917-Q1 Register Map reference manual in 3.5.1 the SPI_PAGE_CTRL register is defined.

The Bit 0 is defined as:

0: page1 (ID1=48) and page2 (ID2=49)
1: page1 (ID1=48) and page3 (ID2=4A)

How do I address page 0?
