LP2951: LP2951-50DR for Low Noise and low parts count

Part Number: LP2951

Hello,

I've used this part in the past for a low noise application.  What I did before was run this part w/ an adjustable output and just set the output to 5V with external resistors, then put a bypass cap across R1 (as per the datasheet).

My question is, could you just tie sense to output and tap to fb and use a cap from output to tap to achieve the same results?  I don't see where the internal resistor value is given so maybe you guys can recommend if this is a good/bad idea and what the capacitance value should be.  (just trying to reduce required external parts.

Thank you
