Hi Vish,

We want to set GPIO as output, and trigger the MOSFET to ENABLE/DISABLE Charge.

We found 91 00 79 02 8EAD can set GPIO1 to HI(4.87V). But, 81 00 79 02 8A6D (Response 02 00 00 00 01B8) can not change to GPIO1 output level. Why?

Do you have any recommend for GPIO connect to gate of MOSFET?

    Hi Jet,

    When doing a "Write with Response" on any register EXCEPT the Command Register, the data bytes field becomes the number of bytes being requested from the bq76PL455a minus one. So for your case, the write doesn't occur. For anything except the Command Register, please use the "Write without Response" followed by a "Read".

    Hi Jet,

    I feel like I should clarify a bit more. The "Write with Response" is basically a "Read" for every register EXCEPT the Command register. So treat it as a read only. So to change a register, you must do a "Write WITHOUT Response" first, then to read the register, you do a "Write with Response." I know the naming convention is a bit confusing, but I hope this clarifies it a bit more!
