BUF16821-Q1: On recommended capacitor capacity of power supply pins (9 & 23 pins)

Hellow,Expert.

I have a question about BUF16821-Q1.

In data sheet P25, 10 μF is recommended for the bypass capacitor of the power supply pins (9 pins, 23 pins).

Is it possible to change this capacitor to a smaller capacity?

Specifically, 4.7 μF, 2.2 μF, 1 μF capacitors are assumed.

Also, please let me know if there are problems that can occur by lowering the capacity.

Hello Noriaki san,

That depend on output load and output voltage swing.

The spec 10uF is good for all Vin; Vout/Iout conditions. If in the real application these ranges are not very wide a lower value decoupling cap may be used.
