BQSTUDIO: BQSTUDIO

Part Number: BQSTUDIO

Hi team

*Store the setting

I need to select registers to record log of watch at every time at  lunching  the bqStudio.

If I could store these setting to some file. I could skip these .

Does bqStudio have a function to store the my setting ?

*Dash board of % of bqStudio

Is this % “True State of Charge” ?

best regards K.Kanao

  • Bqstudios has a logging option to save the registers to a log file:

The gauge returns the RSOC or "Relative State of Charge"

    Nabil

  • Hi Kanao-san,

The feature to save the log file settings (selection of which values you want to log) does not exist in bqStudio. We can look at maybe adding this type of feature in the future, but unfortunately you will need to make the selections each time you open bqStudio.

    Best regards,
    Matt
  • >The gauge returns the RSOC or "Relative State of Charge"

    1.Relative State of Charge
*Would you please let me know the difference of “Relative State of Charge” and “State of charge ?
    How to calculate ?
Where should we look it in data sheer or another manual
*How to get this data log ?
There is no “Relative State of Charge” registers in Watch and log file in bqStudio
How to get log date from it ?

    best regards K.Kanao
  • Hi Kanao-san,

RSOC and SOC usually have the same meaning. The reason for the term 'Relative' in RSOC is because the battery gauge learns the new capacity as the battery ages. So RSOC is the percentage of charge left in the battery relative to the learned full capacity of the battery. The term SOC usually means the RSOC, so they have the same meaning in bqStudio.

ASOC is absolute state of charge. This would be the percentage of charge remaining relative to the full capacity when the battery was new.
You can read more about these different definitions on this site: batteryuniversity.com/.../battery_definitions

BQStudio reports the register values for the specific device you are using. Can you let me know which device you are using in bqStudio?

    Thanks,
    Matt
  • Hi Matt

Is RSOC *Dash board of % of bqStudio “state of charge” or “True state of charge” ?

    best regards K.Kanao
  • RSOC is the percentage of remaining charge left: (Remaining Capacity / Full Charge Capacity) * 100. The Full Charge Capacity is relearned frequently by the battery gauge and it will decrease as the battery ages. With a new battery, the Full Charge Capacity will be very close to the Design Capacity (this is the capacity specified in the battery datasheet).
