WEBENCH® Tools/UCC256304: Doubler Output version at 400V exist in Webench?

Part Number: UCC256304
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TL431

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hello All,

My customer is using Webench for UCC256304.

Below his question:

Webench sizes the stabilization network automatically for UCC256304 ... Is there an AppNote (like for the transformer) ... or something customer can evaluate in order to stabilize a version with a doubler 400V output that can not be simulated in Webench?

Any comments?

Many Thanks,

Antonio

  • Hello Antonio,

I am not sure if you mean they need to recalculate their LLC compensation network, if not please explain what o you mean by stabilization network.
Can you please share their design spec, are they using UCC256304 for a doubler application, what is the end application of their design?

    Regards,
    Sonal
  • Hello,

    Thanks for reply.

This is the scratch of circuit, the use is for tube audio amplifier. See below:

How to design the right feedback loop for 215 rail with UCC256304?

    Many Thanks,

    Antonio

  • Hello Antonio,

I can not see the circuit that you are referring to.

I will send you a simplis model with POP to enable the loop response measurement.

The Power stage designer tool is also a good starting point. It doesn’t contain compensation for LLC specifically but it’s useful for picking component values for the TL431 feedback circuit.

    I hope this helps.
