Hi TI and All,

I'm currently developing with BQ24610.

I have problem to calculate the thermal temperature for this IC. How to calculate ?

Hi,

Below is a rough estimate:
Pic (IC power dissipation) = Vadaptor x Iac (25mA typically)
Generally speaking, Tj = Ta + R x Pic where R is a thermal parameter depending on the system design.

Hi,

Sorry I still could not understand, how do you get I ac = 25mA. Is Iac refer to the input adapter current?

Fakri,

Yes. Iac refers to the adaptor current going into the IC, i.e. the IC quiescent current. Please refer to p7 of the d/s.
