TPS65911: Bode Plots

Part Number: TPS65911

Hi,

We got a question from the customer about TPS65911.
Could you help us?

[Question]
Is there the bode plots data of VDDctrl, VDDx and VIO?

Best Regards,
tateo

  • Tateo,

Bode plots are not usually in the datasheet. Bode plots are sometimes found in application notes but they are not typically provided for devices that are internally compensated. Most PMICs are internally compensated and designed to work with a narrow range of inductors for which the compensation is determined to be stable by the designers of the part.

I have also assigned this question to the expert on the TPS65911 device, who may provide a follow-up answer.

    Thanks,
    Brian
  • Hi Tateo,

We don't have bode plots available. As Brian said, this device is internally compensated, with a specified range of inductance and capacitance. So the device was tested for stability in this range. You can also reference the load transient response waveforms in the Application Curves section of the datasheet:
    www.ti.com/.../application-curves-x1228

You can see there are no oscillations in the output voltage response, so the phase margin is higher than 45 degrees.

    Regards,
    Karl
