UCC28180: switching frequency

Hi Team,

Datasheet shows "The programmable frequency range is from 18 kHz to 250 kHz".
Do you know what is occured if it goes out of range as FREQ pin is shorted to GND or open?
My customer assumes abnormal situation in this case..

    Hi Yaita-san,
    If the FREQ pin is shorted to GND the GATE signal will run at about 800kHz and if FREQ is left open then GATE signal runs at about 2kHz.
    In the latter case the peak current limit (PCL) signal should operate to keep the duty cycle small.
    So yes this is an abnormal situation.
