Hi David,

As we set channel5&6,7&8 as 4 pair ports, as long as we see valid classification on either of these channels, we turn on both channels at the same time. For 2 pair port operations, you can refer to channel 1-4. Thanks.

The PSE port should not be controlled by external switch button. It should be controlled by PSE device itself. Can you explain what kind of system you are trying to build. Thanks.

Dear Penny，in this case we use MCU Read external IO state to control the state of PSE PORT.IO stae Corresponding the bottom of key is on or oFF.

What kind of device would be connected to the 4 pair PSE port? Do you mean the device connected to PSE port could be non PoE devices and you still want to turn on the port? If that's the case, you will need to switch the mode to manual mode(0x12) and force the port on(0x19) Thanks.

Previously PSE ports were loaded automatically, and now customers want to use external switches to control port opening (30W output or no output) through the MCU.

Hi David,

You can write to register 0x19 after the external switch is turned on. Depending on whether the PD is IEEE standard or not, you need to set the device operating mode to semi auto(for standard PD) or manual(for nonstandard PDs). Thanks.
