BQ25601: Non volatile memory to store REG settings after Power cycle reset

Dear Team,

I am working on Bq25601EVM with EV2300 and bqStudio. I am able to read and write REGISTERS of bq25601. Can i store/program my desired values in these registers permanently?

Or do i have to write my desired values each time when i power on this device using a Host micro-controller using I2C interface?

PS :  i am not connecting any battery and running system from external 5V3A adapter.

    BQ25601 operates in hose mode, to keep BQ25601 in host mode, watchdog timer cannot expire. If the watch dog timer expires, all the registers go back to default. When power is recycled, everything goes back to default setting that is POR setting as indicated in the datasheet.
