LM2775: Difference between LM2775 and LM2775-Q1

Part Number: LM2775

What is the difference between these two parts ? Are there issues with the LM2775 I should be aware of ? I am asking because it seems LM2775 is still available but 'until end of stock' (Farnell) and LM2775-Q1 seems not to be available yet.

This chip does exactly what I need: provide 5V at à couple of 100's mA from a battery at 3.6V. Is there a better choice or other option ?

  • Hi Retokid,

Thank you for your interests. They are the same design but the latter (-Q version) is automotive qualified version which will be released very soon (in this or next week I suppose). You can get the -Q version pre-production samples from TI store and the distributors should have it in stock once it is released. Regarding the commercial version (LM2775), I checked the distributors (Arrow, Digikey, Mouser, and Newark), and they all have it in stock.

    Thanks,
    Youhao
