TPS2660: TPS2660 efuse for audio equipment protection

Hi,

Is it possible to use TPS2660 efuse to protect a 24V speaker? I have a potential use case as the following & will need advise if this would be the right device to perform this action.

Due to inbound power supply limitation on speaker, I'll need to drive the speaker at 1.1A only. If i were to lower the OCP settings to 1.1A, how will the efuse respond? And since audio is in sine wave >1kHz, will the output current clipped close to OCP values?

Hello Leo Chow,

TPS2660 can be used to protect OCP at 24V to 1.1A.
However, could you please explain if the input to TPS2660 will have >1kHz imposed on 24V and need to clip current to 1.1A?
Please explain the use case in more detail.

Hi Kari,
here's some details on my use case:

a 24V speaker would draw more current as audio signal differs & especially when my volume is increasing. Upon hitting preset OCP limit, i would assume voltage trip may happen & current clipping as well? If you need more clarification perhaps i can include you into our email communication?
