TPS2660: like over-current to auto-retry and the reverse-current to latch off

Part Number: TPS2660

This is an unusual request, but simple to explain - the title of the post says it all: My customer would like over-current to auto-retry and the reverse-current to latch off. Is that a possibility?

Thank you!

  • Hi Lenio,

Latch off after a reverse current fault is not possible due to fact that internal blocking FET is turned off after reverse current is detected. However it turns back on after a forward threshold of 96mV is detected.

This is not possible because of multiple faults such as over current, over voltage, under voltage and reverse current are MUXed together.

However, an external compartor across IN-OUT controlling the UVLO pin can help to latch off after an reverse current.

    Regards,
    Kari.
