BQ25121A: USB battery charger chip selection

Part Number: BQ25121A

I am overwhelmed by the selection of battery chargers that are available. One part that I am looking at is BQ25121A.

My requirements are charging a LIIon battery.
would like a fuel gauge as part of the solution.
this device will use USB for charging so support for USB-C power negotiation would be nice, although not absolutely required. Integrated FETs would also be desirable. This will be a consumer product so cost and space are considerations.
Is BQ25121A a good choice or should I be looking at something else?

I am still in the early stage of design and do not have those things defined yet. I assume that if I am willing to tolerate longer charge times that charging current will not be an issue?

I initially thought that BQ2521A did the USB power negotiation, but since I have looked at it closer that does not appear to be the case. Is there a similar chip that does that too.

Mark,
That is correct but there are different chargers depending on the maximum charge current, system load and battery regulation voltage. It'll be hard to recommend a device without those parameters.
