BQ24295: Interrupt when NTC_FAULT bits are high

Part Number: BQ24295

Hello,

Having trouble getting the BQ24x95 to drive the INT pin using the BQ24295EVM when there are NTC faults during charge mode. I see the STAT pin blink at 1Hz.

Should the BQ24x95 send an interrupt when NTC_FAULT bits are high?

for reference: I've been looking at section 8.3.4.2 and table 16 of the datasheet.

Thanks,

Nick

  • Hello Nick,

Yes, a fault on the NTC pin generates an INT pulse; the duration of the pulse is ~256us. The pulse is a high to low to high transition.

Things to verify are that the INT pull-up rail is remaining high during the pulse and monitor the INT pin with a scope looking for a falling edge.
