BQ24725: RSR sensing resistor

Hello

      

            Below is different connection of RSR on datasheet. What is different for two RSR sensing resistor connection? If customer would like detect charging and discharging current, they use fig1 to implement. Is it correct? Thank you.

    Patrick,

    This two different connection's purpose is the second circuit can help to reduce sense resistor power dissipation during discharge mode.

    BQ24725A only can monitor charge current via IOUT pin, there is no discharge current monitor.
