ULN2803A: How should I treat an unused input?

Hi,

When designing with this part I need to understand what to do with an unused input: should I leave it floating or should I tie it to ground?   Please explain.

    Hey Mark, 

    Thanks for reaching out on E2E.

    Typically, you can leave the input and output pins open. However, if you have an inductive load like a stepper motor and there's negative transients, then grounding the inputs and outputs can help.
